"Creating more air movement was the solution"

It was often damp and stuffy in the greenhouse. The greenhouse climate was also not optimal for the crop. The plants were regularly too wet inside, which led to problems with rot and mould, among other things.” The grower does not regret the investment made. The vertical fans ensure more air movement and a more active and even greenhouse climate. In the first place, the air movement is pleasant for our employees. They are happier and productivity is higher. The crop dries more quickly, for example after spraying. This means we have less to worry about with fungi and other cultivation issues.

"I get goosebumps from such an evenly colored crop"

Paul and Marcel van den Broek are very pleased with the system. “The temperature distribution is much better in the greenhouse. You can see that in the crop. I get goosebumps from how evenly the colors are.” The aim is to keep the RH at 87% under a closed screens, and that works well. In the old greenhouse without this system we have to set up the ventilation windows much more often above a closed screen.

"De Boer is satisfied with the results"

In addition to moisture regulation, the system has another major advantage: regulating the temperature. In lit crops you have to deal with radiation rules, whereby the screen has to be closed at certain times. As a result, the temperature under the cloth can rise considerably. Every 10.000 lux Son-T exposure means an increase of 6 to 7 °C. To prevent this, we also use the fans for cooling.

"More active crop and a stable climate"

We are satisfied with the HinovaFan. We grow more generatively, we have a stable climate which ensures an active plant. Since using the HinovaFan, we have noticed that we have a more active crop, we have a higher water absorption.

"Energy savings and better controllability are the gains"

Pulling a gap with the screen is the cheapest solution, but this creates a cold trap and you have to turn on the pipe heating to dehumidify. And so we didn't want that.

"Our VentilationJets are actually three systems in one"

First of all, the air is dehumidified. In addition, the microclimate improves. Finally, in combination with the double screens, it prevents air pollution." The jets consist of two fans one above the other. The top adjustable intake fan takes the outside air from above the screens. The bottom fan, the distribution fan, distributes the drier air in the greenhouse. At the moment, about 10% in heat is saved by using the fans.
