Influencing the humidity in your greenhouse by bringing cold air from above the closed screen down without cracking them open. This is how our system works, to eliminate humidity related diseases such as botrytis, and we have seen in practice that it works. But how does the VentilationJet intake unit work? The VentilationJet intake unit

The VentilationJet Intake unit consists of a single tube of approx. 1,400 mm wide with a distribution plate on the bottom. The sleeve is attached to one side of the lattice. The blower fan is fitted in this case. The blower fan is driven by a fully adjustable and highly durable, energy-friendly motor. Our system is also available with UL and CSA approved motors.

How does it work?

The unit is equipped with a fully controllable fan. This fan brings fresh outside air, from the greenhouse ridge, into the cultivation area. The blowing capacity for drying or cooling desired air is determined by the horticultural computer. The outside air is blown into the greenhouse under the intake unit. Due to the relatively low energy content of the outside air, there is hardly any disturbance in the climate at the mixing point. Preheating the outside air is not necessary.

The installation

For each project a classification can be made for the amount of units needed.

As a rule, a pattern of approximately 150-240 m2 is used. The layout and the number of fans are based on your request or on our experience with tomato growing in the Netherlands.

Influences such as cultivation type, temperature and humidity can cause a different layout and numbers.

The units are suitable for every crop and are integrated in the greenhouse and screen construction. Changes in the cultivation or the cultivation system do not lead to changes in the system, unless the capacity has to be increased, for example with heavily exposed or colder crops. Modules for connection to the horticultural computer are available from almost all leading computer manufacturers.

The system can be included in our wireless network, so that only power points are needed. The network controls and registers each fan separately, based on the control of a climate group in the climate computer.
